Missing Blog Posts

I want to apologize for not knowing how to exactly post to this blog in chronological order, losing blog posts and lastly, not posting nearly enough for our supporters and friends to read. Also, I know there are some people on my mailing list who may receive these following blog postings as emails. Please don't unsubscirbe today. I'll try to do just three or four and do them from here on out at regular intervals and not on the same day.

I'll be adding more devotionals today and a couple updates from the past months. I hope all of you are doing well. Please pray for us as we are at another period of financial upheaval. Our car had its timing belt go out and it ruined all 16 valves in the engine. This cost us well over $1000 to fix. So, without the $1000, it is still at the auto shop.

But enough of the negative. I want to be more focused on the positve things in life. That is very difficult in our situation, but not impossible. If we surround ourselves with very positive people, our lives are enhanced and given value beyond anything we can dream of. Good positve people are a blessing and I pray more will enter your life on a daily basis.

Yours in Christ,
Brian Humek

A New Mustard Seed Group

We're in the midst of prayer, and have been for quite a while, to begin a new Mustard Seed group here in Irving, at our house. We're quite ashamed of our house and our eleven year old carpet so we've been praying for a remnant while we try to have a group that is a remnant. That's Old testament humor for you, it's not very good, huh?

We need your prayers for this new group to make a difference in our community. There are many ways we can do this. Please pray for the following people: John, Michael, Jose, Erin, Clay, Cherry, Ms. Gandi ( a co-worker of Mary Ann's) and Ms. Clement (a former co-worker of Mary Ann's). Four of these people do not attend any church at this time.

Ms. Clement spoke to my wife one day about being baptized and spoke of her baptism in Africa. My wife spoke about our work and Ms. Clement said to Mary Ann, "I knew you had to be a minister's wife. You're such a good person." That's my wife y'all. She is such a nice person and has such a great attitude that people see the light of Jesus in her.My wfie is a hero to me. I want to be like her.

Again, don't forget to pray for our carpet to be replaced. I'm going to call a few carpet sellers to see if they might donate an 8 x 11 piece of light colored carpet.  I'll let you know what happens.

Tomorrow I'm combining a supper interview with West, one of the elders at the Mid-Cities church with a Better Man group we will have immediately following. West has agreed to be an interview subject for my website GotInterviews.com. He's the CFO for a major company and he will be talking about the need for ethics in our future business leaders. I'll ask him questions about a few other things too. Afterward, I hope West will stay to participate with the few guys who will show for a night of encouragement. I know he will have a lot to offer all of us.

We're sorry. New comments are no longer being accepted.
