While it is not a certainty, we’ve all probably read Romans 8:28. If we just love God, everything will turn out just fine. “Yeah, right!” some of us might say, including me. But if we look at the big picture, even the medium picture, things do typically turn out just fine.

The following is a movie quote from an old Lindsay Lohan movie…“I’m not trying to prove you wrong, I just want to help you see.” This is the attitude I have towards anyone I meet that is unchurched and antagonistic toward God or Christians. I don’t try to prove them wrong, I just try to help them see they have a need for something bigger than the busyness of their everyday lives. That something bigger is Jesus.
Often, in my public prayers, I thank God for loving us and giving us everything we need. We don’t deserve His love, but I plead for his help in our lives so we can at least act like we deserve a little of what he provides. I think it is extremely important that we not just say we love God, but to actually show it to Him in our words and actions.
